This is a common complaint after
a collision. Collision can occur
during auto related accidents,
slips, falls, or sports
injuries. This type of injury is
often referred to as whiplash.
Whiplash is an unexpected,
sudden movement of the head
backwards, forwards or sideways.
Whiplash injuries can stretch
&/or tear muscles, ligaments
that supports the head & spine.
The soft pulpy discs between the
spinal bone can bulge, herniate
or rupture. The vertebrate can
loose their normal position &
this can cause reduced range of
motion
Headaches
Headaches are so common that for
some of us it has been a normal
part of life. Study reported that
"about 10
million Americans suffer from
moderate to severe disability
from various forms of
headaches."
Headaches are caused by
several culprits:
- Emotional, physical, or
chemical stress, allergies to
certain foods, alcohol, toxic
fumes. A frequent cause of
headaches is the dysfunction of
spinal
- Bones / joints in the neck &
upper back. When the spine
malfunctions & loose its motion,
nerves & blood vessels to the
head can be affected, & spinal
nerves related tissues are
stretched or irritated which can
cause headaches.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Wrist / Hand
Pain
Pain in extremities is caused by
improper joint function. This
can be caused by repetitive
motions, falls overexertion, or
accidents. Impaired joints
function causes pain,
inflammation, and reduced range
of motion, calcium build up &
scar tissue. This can often be
helped by chiropractic treatment
by restoring proper joint
mobilization, improving blood
circulation, & speeding healing
process.
Tired of pain medication, muscle
relaxers, steroid injections, &
even surgery - call Dr. Khan,
she is uniquely qualified to
help restore proper joint
function of the spine & the
extremities.

Knee & Ankle / Foot Pain
80 percent of 20 year olds have
some sort of foot problem; sad
but true by age 40 almost
everyone has some kind of foot
problem. Feet have 3 major
functions: Support the
body, movement, & protect the
bones & soft tissue
from strenuous tasks & stress we
put on our feet day after day. A
common problem seen in our
office is : plantar fasciitis &
heel spur.
Plantar fascitis is a common
cause of heel pain, which is
inflammation of connective
tissue that runs from the heel
to the ball of the foot &
supports the arch. People with
plantar fascitis experience pain
in the mornings when they take
their first steps, or after long
periods of rest &/or sitting.
This occurs when you are off of
your feet, the plantar fascia is
given a chance to rest, when you
take your first step the elastic
tissue lengthens & tightens this
causes inflammation which in
turn cause pain.
Heel Spurs
Heel spurs are deposits of
calcium on the heel bone. If
untreated can cause
inflammation, painful, achy &
tired feet. We have had good
success in the treatment of
plantar fasciitis & heel spurs.
Our combination of chiropractic
adjustments of the feet, along
wt active release / myofascial
release therapy, ultra sound &
muscle steam therapies &
exercises can go a long way to
help patient stabilize the
postural foundation & help
relieve related stress/pain, &
build foot strength & joint
stability.
